Horse Jumps - About Us
Our business began when we couldn’t find any suitable jumps available locally for our daughter, who wanted to improve her riding skills. So we decided to make our own. That was 7 years ago. Today we supply families with pony paddocks, riding schools, pony clubs and also hire jumps out for equestrian and country shows.
Ffald Cymru is a small, Welsh speaking family business based at Newfoundland in the Pembrokeshire National Park, West Wales. The name loosely translates as ‘Welsh pound’ and comes from the large pound on our land which we’ve restored. It is a high walled gated structure which probably dates back to medieval times. Pounds were used as a place to keep stray cattle, sheep and pigs until claimed by their owners. Thieves, rustlers and vagabonds were sometimes confined to the pound until they could be dealt with by the local sheriff. These days we use it for bar-be-ques.
Regulars at the Pembrokeshire Show, and other country shows, we are well known in the equestrian sector in West Wales. When you need horse jumps, contact Ffald Cymru.
